Wave Island is also the only fully environmentally friendly waterpark, is set in a 4.7 ha site, 17 km from Avignon, directly accessible from Avignon and Carpentras train stations, with direct access from Avignon North motorway exit. It also has Europe’s largest lazy river and the world’s biggest surf simulator.There are host of activities available to the public, who are greeted by the park mascots:
- An unrivalled complex of thrilling waterslides
- Family rides for adults and children
- River adventure for people with disabilities
- Children’s play areas, suitable for all ages
And, of course, catering areas, (table service with seating for 250; fast food with seating for 250, mobile food outlets)

HOW TO GET TO THE PARK : ➢ BY CAR: Direct access Motorway A7 (Marseille/Lyon) - Exit 23 - Take direction Carpentras - Exit WAVE ISLAND Direct access to A9 freeway (Spain) - Exit 23 - Follow signs for Avignon then Carpentras - Exit WAVE ISLAND GPS coordinates: 44° 1' 15.204" N / 4° 57' 55.654" E ➢ BY BUS: Zou! https://services-zou.maregionsud.fr/fr/ Line 5 (Avignon - Carpentras) Stop Lac de Monteux (5 min walk) ➢ BY TRAIN: From Avignon Centre and Avignon TGV stations, take the TER Avignon-Carpentras to GARE DE MONTEUX STOP. Then take the Ligne 5 bus to the LAC DE MONTEUX PROVENCE stop.

Free tickets for children under 1m will only be issued at the park after a height check.<br /> - Remember to take a padlock to close your locker. If you don't have one, a Marsupilami-themed padlock can be purchased on site for 9€ (padlock + bracelet for the key).<br /> - Children under -1.20m must be equipped with armbands.<br /> <br /> Picnics are permitted only in designated areas.<br /> <br /> There are several secure municipal parking lots just a few meters from the entrance to WAVE<br /> ISLAND.
